Chai and Vanna,

Would like to say, "Yin Dee Torn Rub" or "Welcome" to Spoon Thai Restaurant!!!!! As the owners of this family run business, Chai and Vanna has enjoyed serving Thai food to the Lincoln Square Neighborhood since 1996.

As Spoon Thai grows in popularity, we felt the need to renovate. So early in 2002, using a mixture of Western and Eastern style, Spoon Thai became the comfortable upscale restaurant you see today.

Vanna started her first job as an assistant cook for her sister's Thai restaurant in Bangkok, at Thailand nearly 20 years ago. In Thailand, Vanna was able to learn how to cook real Thai traditional food from her sister. As a result, each dish from Spoon Thai presents Vanna family's recipe to Chicagoans.

To keep their passion for quality Thai food alive, they opened their own Spoon Thai. Built on the concept of offering affordable price, excellent quality of service, and authentic Thai tasting food. Honoring these concepts is the first priority for Vanna and Chai.

Enjoying the wonderful tastes and experiencing the beauty of truly good food is one of our life passions. In Thailand we have one word that encompasses all of the joys good food, good friends and good atmosphere offer. SANUK. Sanuk roughly translates to have good time is to have good food. We want every guest in our restaurant to experience SANUK!

Vanna has a motto she follows when cooking her family recipes, "The Real Thai Food, The Real Thing!"
